Bug#254822: Erratic positioning of sound volume indicator

When using hotkeys to lower or raise sound volume, an indicator featuring=
 nice
loudspeaker icon and showing actual volume is drawn on screen. Usually it=
 is
positioned very low in the middle of the screen.

Problem is that on the first keypress it appears in upper left corner of =
the
screen, then on the second and subsequent keypresses it is drawn correctl=
y in
the middle of lower part of the screen.

Confirmed on two different machines, both Debian/unstable with capplets 2=
=2E6.1-5.
