  Hi,
A new directory layout and branching policy has been set to deal with
GNOME 2.6 packaging in SVN repo at alioth.debian.org
We have now two different directories for packages:
     - desktop/
This is for modules official in GNOME releases.
     - packages/
This is for the rest of packages.
In desktop/ dir there are trunk/ and branches/2.4 directories.
Development for 2.6 should be done in trunk/ while development for 2.4
(current packages in Sid) should be done in branches/2.4
For now, all GNOME 2.6 packages must be uploaded to experimental.
Packages for atk and glib has been uploaded yet. Gtk 2.4 will follow
  soon.
  Cheers,
