Bug#240991: gdm: ALL sessions have disappeared except default

I upgraded gdm and now find that NO sessions are available except the Default
and Failsafe.

Clearly something has changed in gdm because it is no longer looking
in /etc/gdm/Sessions/ for the available session files (as provided by each
window manager package). The new gdm.conf I installed no longer contains the
line
SessionDir=/etc/gdm/Sessions/
but even if I restore this line it still doesn't work, and indeed even if
I restore my old gdm.conf I still have the same result. Please fix, it's 
forcing me to use KDE...argh! (Ok, I can probably work around it by fiddling
with Xsession but the fact remains this upgrade is a major breakage).
