Bug#208344: Seems to be stale lock files indeed

I had the same problem, and there were stale
/home/michdaen/.gconf/%gconf-xml-backend.lock/ior and
/home/michdaen/.gconfd/lock/ior files lying around. Removing those seems
to have fixed it. Is this a side effect of moving the lock files to
/tmp?
