I did an apt-get dist-upgrade. gdm was also upgraded. I got to configure
it (what I wanted to do with the current settings, if I remember
correctly). I chose the default. After a reboot the new gdm started. In
this gdm I only had the choice of Last, Default (KDE), failsafe GNOME
and failsafe xterm. I couldn't chose windowmaker or gnome.

I did a dpkg-reconfigure gdm, I got to chose gdm or xdm. I chose gdm,
then I got the following error

I then installed kdm, so I can boot to gnome

(this is my first bug report, please tell me if I did something wrong!
Also, I can't actually submit the report, as my SMTP server requires
authentication! So I don't know if I should for example copy all the
header information into evolution!)
