Bug#247092: gdm: Japanese localized date in not in a proper readable format

I modified my /etc/init.d/gdm file so that gdm actually starts in
japanese and figured out that the date format is obviously incorrect.
In fact it looks like a literally translated format, not a japanese
standard one.
It reads "月 5月 03, 12:42" while it should read "5月 3日 (月) 12:42"
To be clearer for non japanese readers (and since we are monday which
means it's not obvious to make the difference between the weekday and
the word for "month") :
It reads "day-of-the-week month月 day-of-the-month, hour", while it
should read "month月day日(day-of-the-week) hour".
