After the upgrade to 2.4.1 from the old stable version (2.2.x) the
configuration in /etc/gtk-2.0/gdk-pixbuf.loaders still refers to the old
files from the 2.2.x packages.
Running "gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders > /etc/gtk-2.0/gdk-pixbuf.loaders"
solved the problem.

The problem reported was not caused by the package: during the upgrade a
out-of-memory condition happened and caused the machine to hang.
I thought the install was already finished, but probably some package
were left unconfigured.
Running "dpkg --configure -a" finished the install and solved the problem.
Sorry for the noise.
