Bug#250595: after a fresh debootstrap'd install, gnome-session freezes at splash screen

Ok, this time the following dirs come from tmpfs:
/home/<user>, /etc/gconf, /tmp
Still no result.
(TmpFS supports all the features gconf needs, right?)
Also: I managed to run the gnome config editor manually
in an XFree86 server without hanging.
