Bug#251144: Removing GDM doesn't always change /etc/X11/default-display-manager

Package: gdm
Version: 2.4.4.7-3
Severity: normal
If two display managers are installed (say, gdm and kdm) and gdm is
selected as the default, uninstalling gdm should
change /etc/X11/default-display-manager to kdm, since it is the only one
left (the other display managers work in this manager when they are
removed). However, gdm does not, leaving /etc/X11/default-display-manager
set to the now non-existent gdm.
When 3 or more display managers are installed, removing gdm prompts the
user to select one of the two remaining; this setting is applied as it
should be. Thus the problem occurs only when 2 display managers are
installed, gdm is the default, and gdm is removed.
Thanks,
Christopher Martin
