The 2.6.1 control center is just a rebuild from experimental, so this problem is linked with others updates
Thanks to Sebastien Bacher, we have found a temporary solution: revert your xlibs package to 4.3.0.dfsg.1-1.
It's reported to work for some people on IRC.
