Hi,

Epiphany breaks the x-www-browser alternative when de-installed because 
it does not remove its own alternative in a prerm or postrm script.  It 
should do something like this in a prerm:

if [ "$1" = "remove" -o "$1" = "deconfigure" ] ; then

       update-alternatives --remove x-www-browser /usr/bin/epiphany
