Bug#251335: Reason for bad icons, but no solution

The reason why the icons have all reverted to the 'paper' icon is that the 
gnome MIME system removed all of the icons during the nautilus upgrade.
If you run gnome-file-types-properties, you should notice that none of the 
types have icons associated with them. If you manually add some icons, they 
show in nautilus.
I have tried creating a new user and logging into gnome to see what happens. 
The new user has no icons from a fresh login, so this does seem to be a big 
problem.
