Justification: breaks unrelated software
I upgraded evolution to 1.4 this morning.
This forced the upgrade to the libnautilus2.2, but didn't upgrade the
nautilus package
I ended up having nautilus crashing and crashing at startup.
When I tried to report a bug, I found out:
# reportbug nautilus
Your version (2.2.2-1) of nautilus appears to be out of date.
The following newer release(s) are available in the Debian archive:
unstable: 2.2.4-1
Do you still want to file a report [y|N|?]? N
[...]
Thus I upgraded nautilus manually and the problem was fixed.
Might be a missing dependency.
Unfortunately as I don't have a log of what dpkg did, I don't think I
can't help you more to know which dependency was upgraded when I
upgraded my=20
evolution.
Note I hadn't upgrade evolution for a long time. I had evolution 1.2.2
running on my system.
The upgrade also upgraded mozilla from 1.2.1 to 1.4 :)
PS: is there a way to enable logging in /var/log for dpkg? Couldn't find
it on the web.
Mandrake urpmi does it. It's nice.
