Package: gnome
Version: 45
Severity: normal

After finding out about the generic gnome package, I installed it, while
I already had most of GNOME 2 installed.
My desktop has a background picture, as installed via the Main Menu ->
Applications -> Desktop Preferences -> Background.
After installation of the 'gnome' package (and the 50MB+ of other
packages that it depends on), the background is gone: when I log in now,
all I get is a purple background. When I go to the Background
configuration screen (as described above), it is clear that the
background picture *is* selected. Clicking on another `Picture options'
button, the selected background appears again. But I have to do this
every time I login...

I don't know in what package the problem is, so I filed it against this
meta package, since the problem came up when I installed it a few days
