Hi,
the spatial mode used by nautilus is not documented. In particular nautilus
does not instruct me how to turn spatial mode off.
I really really really do NOT want spatial mode on. I understand that
upstream is very enamoured of it. I am not. Yes I have tried it. Yes I
know I can just hold "shift" down to keep the same window. I should not
have to, if I do not want to.
There should be Choice. The nautilus preferences should have a button for
switching off spatial mode.
At the very least, you should put a comment in README.Debian letting us know
how to do it.
Thank you,
Drew

Hi,
There is an option for this in the nautilus 2.8 preferences (preferences
-> behavior -> always open in browser windows) , and we have backported
it to the 2.6 package.
I'm closing this bug since the option is here.
Thanks,
Sebastien Bacher
