Hum yes, it was converted to xml in 2.8, sorry.

I remember IWIN zone has changed, fixed in 2.8 too.

GNOME 2.8 is mostly bugfixes, so you can upgrade to the experimental
GNOME packages without any fear. (many people including the GNOME Team
are using it since a while, and i wonder if Ubuntu is not using 2.8 --
remembering Ubuntu is based on Debian).
