 It's really strange, on _my_ box, text is inserted at the place where I
 middle-click.  For example, if I have:
    blahblah
    foo
    bar
    |

 And I put the string "hello" in my X clipboard, I can paste it before
 foo without moving the cursor at all by middle-clicking before foo:
    blahblah
   .foo
    bar
    |

 The full-stop is where I middle-click, this results in:
    blahblah
    hellofoo
    bar
    |

 => cursor has not moved, everything is fine.

 Are you doing the same?
 Do you use xinerama?
