Version: 2.4.2-3
Severity: normal
I've just updated from GNOME 1.4 for 10 users, and had this bug chase
me around in every upgrade. I think it's closely related with the
upgrade.
The panel crashes with the nasty "Application Crashed" message and then
restarts succesfully, when trying to delete some applet, in this case it
was the mail-check applet.
It happened like this: I selected the "mail-check-applet" (on the upper
panel) and tried to delete it ("Quitar" option, in the Spanish env),
however the Evolution icon (on the lower panel) was the one that
disappeared. After that, I tried to delete the mail-check-applet, and
the panel crashed.
I'm guessing that even if the Evolution icon was the one that
disappeared, the mail-check-applet had actually been deleted from the
panel and then it couldn't be deleted twice...
BTW, this happened with other icons and applets as well, the above
example is no more than that, an example.
Well, I know it's not much, but I'm hoping you might try to have a look
at this, and see if you can find what happens when you upgrade an
existing 1.4 panel into a 2.4 panel.
Love,
Margarita.
