Bug#286570: SVG in Firefox?

I really want to browse SVG graphics in Firefox & these two bugs give 
contradictory reasons why I can't -

Apparently the librsvg plugin isn't available in Debian because because 
SVG support is in Mozilla by default (#286570)

But according to #215990 SVG isn't enabled because it uses its own 
hacked libsvg, instead of a system SVG library, & so causes problems 
for other apps.

One way or another, Firefox SVG support in Debian would be totally 
awesome!
