I have a attached two eps files that cause the problem to occur. One
was produced by xmgrace and the other by gnuplot. I both case the
files have be successfully imbeded into a LaTeX document.

I notice that the file geomf2a1fix2-colour.eps that was created by
gnuplot doesn't have the correct first line

%!PS-Adobe-2.0 EPSF-1.2

It instead has

%!PS-Adobe-2.0

The other file has

%!PS-Adobe-3.0 EPSF-3.0

Running `file' on the first returns ps (and eps if I add ESPF-1.2) and
on the other eps. But neither is opened by nautilus without the
warning (which is slightly different from the original warning):

The filename "ellparan2-2-colour.eps" indicates that this file is of
type "Encapsulated PostScript image". The contents of the file
indicate that the file is of type "PostScript document". If you open
this file, the file might present a security risk to your system.
