Package: gnome-panel
Version: 2.10.0-1
Severity: serious
Tags: experimental
Justification: no longer builds from source
This source package successfully passes the Build-Dep check at the start of the building, but later fails during
./configure because debian/control does not exlicitely request a build-dep on libgnomevfs2-dev >= 2.10.

No, it does indeed not need this.
This is the build-dep part of the tree :
libgnome-desktop-dev -> libgnomeui-dev -> libgnomevfs2-dev
libgnomeui-dev has not yet increased its dependencies, like on
libgnomevfs2-dev (>=3D 2.8.4-2).
So this is only a matter of time, when all important GNOME packages are
done, that all these deps are synchronized. So please wait a little more
before filing such bugs.
Thanks.
