Package: libgnomeui-0
Version: 2.8.1-3
Severity: minor
While experimenting with beagle I discovered that there is only a
softlink to libgnomeui-2.so.0:
holger@degenatron:/usr/lib$ ls -l libgnomeui*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 23 2005-03-22 22:03 libgnomeui-2.so.0 -> libgnomeui- 2.so.0.800.1
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 629412 2005-03-02 10:33 libgnomeui-2.so.0.800.1
best crashes because it cannot find libgnomeui-2.so. Setting a softlink
solves this problem.

This is not bug in library, but in .config of this application.
F.E. look in f-spot package files:
/usr/share/dotnet/f-spot/libgphoto2-sharp.dll.config
/usr/share/dotnet/f-spot/f-spot.exe.config
Believe me, you don't want to link any application to unversioned
library.
.so is just for developement purposes.
