Bug#321764: gtranslator: French localisation, wrong "F" shortcut
 for Open, renders this key useless

Maybe you acidentaly pressed F while the focus was on the open menu
entry? GTK+ allows keybinding changing like that in some contexts... try
puting the mouse above the open menu entry and pressing Ctrl+o and let's
see what happens?
