Bug#322070: strace of segfault of gksu -u root /usr/sbin/synpatic

I have the same problem after upgrading. Would a strace help?
I generated it by running:

strace gksu -u root /usr/sbin/synaptic &> /tmp/gksu.log

Plain sudo /usr/sbin/synaptic works.
