Hello,

I have not been able to successfully reproduce this bug, after upgrading
to python2.3 2.3.5-7.

I tried to reuse the existing gdesklets configuration or to make a brand
new one (by removing the .gdesklets folder).

What exactly happens when you run "gdesklets". Does it speak about
connecting to the daemon or starting the daemon ? Does the "gdesklets"
command return or remains hanging ? If it returns, is there a
"python /usr/lib/gdesklets/gdesklets-daemon" folder afterwards ?

Could you attach the file in the .gdesklets/logs folder when the problem
happens ?

Does something different happen if you remove your .gdesklets folder ?
(please don't remove it, just rename it, if your configuration is
actually guilty, it could be useful to keep it)

Could you also happen the output of "strace -f gdesklets" ?
