Hello,
you state: "Bug report completelmy unusable". As stated before, I had
troubles seperating the issues at hand. I learned the hard way, that
the upgrade (woody -> testing/Sarge) of, e.g., gnome-terminal is not very
pleasant (at least, if you are using a different environment, like
wmaker or fvwm2).=20

I see three possibilities here:
a) You have ensured, that a user using non-gnome environments (e.g.
wmaker) can smoothly upgread, e.g., gnome-terminal without
experience the issues mentioned (because they were only temporary
present, not in current testing). Then this bug can be closed.

b) Helping me to dissect the bug. While I am not able to provide
further details, we can dissect this bug and distill better worded
bugs from it (possibly closed already). Please contact me, in this
   case.

c) Upgrades for non-gnome users which happend to use gnome-terminal in
woody to Sarge are not supported. IMHO this should be documented.
Maybe the other issues should be tackled as well (I see this as a
sub-item of b), e.g., the lack of window manager) but then this bug
can be closed once this note is in place.

Again, I am willing to help. But telling em "unusuable" when I stated
that I had trouble reporting, and just pointing me to the bug tracking
info does not help resolve this issue.

Greetings

          Helge
