Hi,

It is, but:
- I wondered why you used the tag experimental since you're tracking
sid and using some sarge package,
- release critical bug reports (ie reports with severity higher than
important) should be treated with care and adding "experimental"
really change a lot of things for us.
If unsure, it's always safe to report bugs with the default severity
(normal and tags (none), the maintainer will adjust them.

That's strange, on my system:
bee% objdump -T /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so | grep g_assert_warning
0002d0f0 g DF .text 0000007e Base g_assert_warning
You seem to have libglib2.0-0 2.6.2-1, the same as mine.
bee% ldd /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.4.0/immodules/im-xim.so | grep glib
libglib-2.0.so.0 => /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 (0x404e9000)
I don't see how this could happen, did you:
- compile or install glib, gtk, or anything related, from non-Debian
sources?
- have filesystem / hardware trouble?
- change the configuration of your dynamic linker (ld)?

We're not experiencing your problem, could you try upgrading the Gtk
packages again?
Could you please attach your /etc/ld.so.conf, and /etc/apt/
configuration files?
Thanks,
