Please excuse me if it's a false report, but for me, it caused a serious problem. Some
apps (including firefox) failed to start, dropping error messages about
unresolved symbols (g_assert_warning and g_option_context_new, as I remember; libglib related stuff).
Reverting to libgtk2.0-0 in the testing branch solved the issue. (I'm
using unstable)
However, the cross-dependencies are still there in the testing
distribution.

OMG.
Excuse me, please.
I have written the letter but forgot to send it. Have lots of work here.
The problem was that the KDE builder tool (konstruct) somehow didn't catch
that I have a glib. So it built me one. And the linker's references were
updated so everything used the KDE-built glib. When it came to the point that
it had to check the exports, failed to find those(gmessages related stuff).
Removed the compiled libs, updated linker cache, now everything works fine
here :)
Thank you for your help and attention, and sorry for bothering you and the
community.
Keep up the good work!
Gabor
