Version: 2.8.3-6
Severity: normal

I'm using evolution and I just received PDF attachments in emails.
Evolution only prompts for gpdf to open the files, without prompting
for the previous setting I had made in the gnome file properties tool,
which was xpdf.

If I try to review my settings for PDF mime-type in
gnome-file-types-properties, I get a :

(gnome-file-types-properties:4477): libgnomevfs-WARNING **: Deprecated
function. User modifications to the MIME database are no longer
supported.

There seems to be a problem with the recent upgrading to gnome 2.8 on
some of the tools, which renders previous settings for mime types
inoperant.

I found the following thread which describes the same kind of problem :
http://lists.ximian.com/archives/public/evolution/2004-December/040803.html
and
http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2004/08/msg06834.html

I think that, although I noticed the problem in evolution and the message
in gnome-file-types-properties, the problem is indeed with gnome-vfs

How can I change my PDF mimetype file associations now ?

Many thanks in advance.
