Bug#288662: libvte4: pi character is rendered too high and too far to the left

When using gnome-terminal with a locale having a UTF-8 character set,
the Greek lowercase letter pi (U+03c0) is incorrectly rendered further
to the left and higher than it should be.  This is especially evident
if you use a font that supports the full Greek alphabet (e.g. FreeMono)
and view a word such as =E1=BC=80=CE=BD=CE=B8=CF=81=E1=BD=BD=CF=80=CF=89=CE=
=BD. (With Bitstream Vera Sans
Mono, you can see that pi is not lined up with the latin characters but
Vera Sans Mono doesn't support the whole Greek alphabet anyways...)
This happens in Gnome terminal, but not in other gnome applications such
as Gnumeric.

The same problem has been reported against Fedora Core 3 by Ariel

There it is noted that the problem is in vte_unichar_is_local_graphic,
which includes a case statement for the pi character (0x03c0).
