Package: nautilus
Version: 2.4.1-3

Nautilus 2.4 is losing my notes. I usually have the side pane open displaying
directory specific notes (e.g. my $HOME displays a todo). After a recent Debian
Sarge upgrade to nautilus 2.4 my notes are disappearing, and I can now
consistently reproduce the behaviour. To lose notes:
* Open a folder in nautilus (eg /home/dsolley for me), view side pane and select
view notes.
* Enter something in the notes side pane, eg GERONIMO
* `grep GERONIMO $HOME/.nautilus/metafiles/*` reveals a single XML file
containing the word GERONIMO.
* Now, to lose the note, simply enter the $HOME path with a trailing slash, eg:
   /home/dsolley
as compared to (note the trailing slash):
   /home/dsolley/
* Now, there are no notes displayed in the side pane, and `grep GERONIMO
$HOME/.nautilus/metafiles/*` returns zero results. The note has been lost.

I cannot confirm if this behaviour is repeatable on other machines. Can somebody
test this? This bug has caused me to lose dozens of notes that I created in
nautilus 2.2.
Regards
Damien Solley

This bug seems to be fixed in nautilus 2.8.2, bug closed. Feel free to
reopen if you still get the issue.
