Bug#291185: gnome-panel: Custom launchers does not show up in Applications menu

When I logged in this morning I noticed that none of my custom
launchers in the Applications menu in gnome-panel showed up.

They do however appear if I navigate Nautilus to applications:///

I even tried to remove all of the .gnome* and .gconf* settings and
start fresh, but it did not seem to help.
