        Hi,

 Bug #290551 seems really close in behavior to #237681, and other GNU
 regexp bugs have been filed by people using UTF-8 locales.

 It'd be nice to get a fixed version for the submitter to check if the
 upstream version fixes this problem.  (Oh and it'd be nice for sarge
 too ;).

 Jesse, if someone has prepared updated glibc packages, I count on you
 to try them out and tell us whether that fixes your other crashes too.
 I'm almost sure it'll fix the gedit crash, but it'd be nice to confirm
 fixing of the other crashes!
