Package: file-roller
Version: 2.6.2-1
Severity: normal
I have a .tar.gz archive that contains a file named:
gourmet/Re:_[pygtk]_drag_and_drop_types
When I try to extract all the contents from this file with file-roller, it
produces an error dialog, saying "An error occurred while extracting
files." It offers to show me the command-line output; that says:
tar: gourmet/Re\:_[pygtk]_drag_and_drop_types: Not found in archive
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
So it seems file-roller is incorrectly trying to escape certain
characters. When I extract the file normally with tar -zxvf, I encounter
no errors, so I suspect the bug is, in fact, with file-roller.
You can download the .tar.gz in question at
<http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/grecipe-manager/gourmet-0.5.tgz?download>.
