Yes, but I have researched it a bit more now, and it does appear to be=20
in my end.

First of all it only appears to affect text files.  All other files open =

correctly.

I have a script that uses emacsclient to open a text file in a new frame =

in an existing emacs process, and it appears to be a problem with that.=20
  If I switch the preference to gedit or another program, it works.

Hence, the error is somehow entirely on my part.

The funny thing is that the script works in nautilus and everywhere=20
else, but that is something I have to figure out.

The script is really simple:

exec emacsclient --alternate-editor /usr/bin/emacs "$@"
