Bug#317951: gdm fails to login if the order in nsswitch.conf is "ldap compact"

Hi,
I use GNOME environment in a small lan, where the autentication is
ldap-based.

Both client and server are Debian 3.1

In /etc/nsswitch.conf I put:

passwd:	ldap compact
group:	ldap compact
shadow: ldap compact

With this configuration all work but no GDM. To permict login trought
GDM I have to switch the string:

passwd:	compact ldap
group:	compact ldap
shadow: compact ldap
