 This looks like a kernel lack of support or bug from the very
 beginning.

 However, while I thought handing your report to the kernel team, it
 seemed to me you're running a non-Debian kernel package.  To get
 support from the kernel team on this issue, you must of course run a
 Debian kernel.  If/when it is the case, please report the version in
 this bug report.  I'm reassigning to the bug to the kernel team, in
 version 2.6.12.

 The kernel team also asked for your ".config" if you rebuilt the
 Debian-shipped kernel sources, please attach it.
