Hello maintainers of VTE,


It is Gnome bugreport #168600 [1] that did bring me here.

What I need is information how enable debugging for "vte".

I can modify in 'configure.in' the default for --enable-debugging
from 'no' to 'yes'.  But I don't know how to regenerate 'configure'

Another thing is how to prevent the stripping.
Removing 'dh_strip' from 'debian/rules' is not possible,
due the includes of cdds scripts.


Could you help me building a libvte4 with debugging enabled?
