That's correct, gnome is in transition to 2.10. You can't mix nautilus 2.8 with
the 2.10 libraries, so everything is doing the right thing. You'll have to wait
untill the transition is finished (which should be rsn) and then you can
install nautilus 2.10.

This is a typical problem of use apt-get dist-upgrade without paying attention.
