Package: gnome-system-monitor
Version: 2.6.0-5
Severity: normal

The "arguments" column can obscure the remaining columns, depending on
the length of the argument lists. Only the "process name" and
"arguments" columns are then visible without dragging the horizontal
scroll bar.

gnome-system-monitor doesn't offer nice ways of dealing with this
problem:

- Drag the horizontal scroll bar when needed. Bad, because the process
name is scrolled out as well.

- Reduce the arguments' column width manually. Bad, because the full
arguments can not be seen by any other means. Also, this setting is
  lost across restarts.

- Turn off the arguments column. Well...

Some suggestions how to improve:

- By default, show the arguments in the last column instead of the
  second.

- Always show the complete arguments in the "more info" area. (BTW, the
selection of information shown in this area is not intuitive to me.
Maybe consider showing everything there which is selecteable as a
  column.)
