Bug#312713: stickynotes: always on top is driving me mad

Hey thanks for the gnome 2.10 transition to unstable, on the whole it's been
great but sticky notes are now driving me bananas...i get a gaim message
window pop up and can't read it because there's a bloody great sticky on top
of it...always.

I understand the usefulness of the "stickies on top" thing and can accept it
as a default. I am aware of the goal that gnome must work for a clueless
userbase (personally I'd like Gnome to start caring a bit more for its
current and faithful userbase) but there is not even a Gconf flag (I checked
I was that desperate) to twiddle the "Always on top" off.

On my real desk I attach stickies to it, these get covered temporarily by
bits of paper and books but then get seen again, I always know they're
there. So this "Always on top" thing doesn't even model the real world
consistenly.

Please please please provide a tuning nob :-) Mebe the HIG bandits upstream
might even accept the patch given that the old way was more representative
of the real world which is after all the main point, as I remember it, of
HIG.
