I position my mouse cusor over the word 'Actions' at the top
of the screen. I depress the left button, whereby a vertical
list of items appears (Run Application, Recent Documents,
Take Screenshot...,Log Out). I position my mouse cursor
over the words 'Log Out' and click.

How do I tell? I notice this problem by a failure in the GUI,
specifically a failure in the upper panel.

Do I look in the process table, and look for suspicious entries
there? Or should I send you the output of ps -Al for you to
decode?

No bug-buddy window appears.
