please provides more data. There was a change in linux 2.6
mac keyboard handling , are you using ppc ...

The locale , debian release, kernel version (uname -a) could help
too.

note that hexadecimal code is not supported (i found some from
old acme version ... though they lead to segfault of
gnome-session with the acme integrated to gnome 2.8 ...)


I also don't quite understand the whole stanza so please beware i
could have failed filaed to understand what it was all about.
XF86AudioPrevious and such are defined in /etc/X11/xkb/symbols
(most in the inet file). The key they are bound to depends from
the keyboard (and its layout definition in the symbol file) ...
or maybe they are not defined at all for your keyboard .

Did those all worked out before ? If not which one where you
using before trying them all ?
