Package: nautilus
Version: 2.2.0.2-1
Severity: normal

When I mount my USB memory stick, an icon pops up on the Nautilus
desktop. That's cool.

I also have an icon for my Windows 98 partition, which is not so cool,
as I don't want it, and don't see a way to disable it.

My Windows XP partition, however, does not appear on the desktop. The
difference of course is that it is an NTFS filesystem, while the others
are FAT.

There appear to be two things which trigger nautilus to show icons on
the desktop when a volume is mounted either,
1) The volume is marked as user mountable in /etc/fstab
OR
2) Any volume which has a mountpoint in /media

Furthermore the original submitter of the bugs seems to have
said that the reason that his NTFS partitions weren't showing up was
because they weren't marked "user" in fstab. The logic used to decide whether
or not to show an icon for a mounted volume seems very reasonable to me.
