Hmm. I've got the same error. I have tried to install gstreamer0.8-oss and uninstalled gstreamer0.8-alsa and reinstalles gnome-media, but it hasn't helped. Sound works, but I have to use the commandline alsamixer for controlling the mixer Regards Hasse
