today I upgraded this box from woody to sarge

when I logged in into my desktop, I found a pristine gnome 2 desktop,
and I had to reinstall all my gadgets; unfortunately, to my disappointment,
when I added the stickynote applet , it did not import all my 
gnotes applets; fortunately I found them in .gnome/gnotes.d/*
and I could copy/paste  them into stickynotes
