 Actually, it will only do so with an UTF-8 locale, it didn't segfault
 here, but segfaulted with:
    LANG=en_AU.UTF-8 LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 gedit tsclient_0.132-7.diff

 I've already crossed this bug in
 <http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=290551>, against
 gedit too.
