I'm not sure were with bug belongs, because it involves a few packages.
steps to reproduce:
drag the synaptic desktop manager symbol from the debian menu to the
desktop.
open the KDE menu, go to a program and drag it to the desktop
select "copy" ==> program copied. KDE menu is still open.
click on the synaptic symbol
gksu opens and asks for password, but you can't enter anything, X completely
locked
