I too have the same problem. After an upgrade to gnome2.8 and evolution
2.2.4, the clock applet does not show any data. It does not even
highlight the dates with appointments. I have the evolution-data-server
and evolution-alarm-notify running. The alarms work fine, and
notification happens at the right time. The problem therefore, I think
must be with panel-applet.
