Yes and no. The first is a mandatory dependency as far as I know, the
second isn't and I don't need it, so as I don't use printers, I don't
have it.

It doesn't happen with Evolution.

I don't have gedit, do you want me to try it? I don't think I use that
many GNOME applications.
